Farewell, Clemson!
I still clearly remember the first day at Clemson. COVID-19 was still the mainstream of our lives with the campus being half occupied. I was not sure how things are going to pan out, but I was certain there would be a lot of work to do to expand the QISE research program in the Southeast. Three years later, I am proud of all we have achieved, from the $10M+ in federal funding for QISE research & education to the successful partnerships we forged with local institutions (e.g., CU-EBIT, WSSU, SCC). We also founded and hosted two consecutive National Quantum Technology Forums (2022/23).
I am infinitely grateful to all who supported LaBEQ’s ambitious initiatives in the past three years including my CU colleagues, external collaborators, ORNL-CNMS support team, and last but not least, the wonderful team members that helped us run the lab (see people page to know more about them).
In our path to continue contributing to the field of QISE through disruptive qubit research transitioning to LPS Qubit Collaboratory was all but natural. We look forward to forging many more partnerships at LQC to help support QISE research across the nation.
For now, farewell Tigers. Hope to see you again!
